We built Glossy AI to make discovering and trying new nail styles easy and fun. Many people struggle to find styles that suit their skin tone or nail shape, or want to visualise a look before committing. Our AI provides personalised recommendations and a virtual try-on experience to help you find your perfect nails.
Glossy AI is currently available on iOS globally. We're plan Android support soon but have no date available at this time.

Yes. Your photos stay local on your device except during analysis, where they are shared with our partner OpenAI and never stored by either of us. We never share or sell your photos or personal information.
Glossy AI does not require an account! It's automatically linked to your Apple ID.
Glossy AI requires camera access to take high-quality images of your nails. These photos are essential for our AI to perform an accurate analysis of your nail characteristics, recommend styles, and enable the virtual try-on feature.
Absolutely. Your photos are stored using on‑device encryption. We process your images for analysis only, and they're never used to train AI models or saved.
You can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data, including local photos, analysis history, and account information from our servers.
Without camera access, you won't be able to take new photos for analysis, but you can still view your previous analysis results and history. You can restore camera permissions at any time through your device settings.

Our AI analysis looks at several aspects of your nails and skin tone to provide personalised recommendations. This includes your skin's shade undertones (cool, warm, neutral), your current nail shape (e.g., almond, square, oval), and the general condition of your nails (e.g., hydration, signs of brittleness or damage). This allows us to suggest polish colours and styles that are likely to suit you best and offer relevant care tips.
Glossy AI provides a highly insightful analysis based on your submitted photos. However, these results are for informational and styling purposes only and shouldn't replace professional advice from a dermatologist or nail technician if you have concerns about your nail health.
Basic usage events are sent to PostHog for anonymised product analytics. No personal identifiers or photo data are transmitted beyond what's needed for analysis.
Yes – Glossy AI includes a gallery feature where all your nail scans and virtual try-ons are saved. This allows you to look back at different styles you've explored and analyses you've received.
Your photos are used for several purposes within the app:
Your photos are never used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train AI models without explicit permission.
By default, your photos remain on your device. Our servers only process them temporarily during analysis, then discard them. Your analysis results are stored securely for your history view.
Local photos remain until you delete them or uninstall the app. Server‑side data (analysis results, subscription information) is retained while your account is active, then purged within 30 days of account deletion.
Each event is stripped of personal identifiers, batched, and transmitted over HTTPS. PostHog stores only anonymous install IDs, event names, and basic device metadata (OS version, locale, rough IP location).
